Mary Garrett Rhone

Mary Garrett Rhone, 101, of the South Hills, long time resident of Beaver County, died Wednesday, December 28, 2022, at Bridgeville Rehab and Care Center.

Born November 26, 1921, in New Sewickley Township, she was the daughter of the late James E. and Irene Hoffman Garrett. During WWII Mary worked at Goodyear, and later worked at Sears Automotive, Ambridge Savings and Loan, and Giant Eagle. Mary enjoyed volunteering for many years at Old Economy Village where she baked bread and guided tours. She also enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 69 years, Ralph S. Rhone; brother, John E. Garrett; and sister, Dorothy M. Hage.

Surviving are four children, David A. (Phyllis) Rhone, Martha L. Rhone, Linda R. (Steven) Enion, and Nancy J. Rhone; five grandchildren, Courtney A. Rhone, David A. Rhone, Patrick A. (Gina) Rhone, Kymberlee A. Enion, and Alexandra A. Enion; three great-grandchildren, Aubrey, Garrett, and Addison Rhone; and several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 AM until the time of service at 12 PM in the CORLESS-MATTER FUNERAL HOME & CREMATION SERVICES, LLC, 1133 Church Street Ambridge, PA 15003. Online condolences may be shared at www.corlessmatterfuneralhome.com.
