Herman A. Sayre, Jr., 83, passed away Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Harmony Haus in Ambridge, PA.
Herman was born on January 17, 1938, in Chester, WV, the son of the late Herman A. and Ella Johnson Sayre. He was a proud veteran of the US Air Force and had a deep-rooted faith. Herman was always at church.
In addition to his parents, Herman was preceded in death by his loving wife, Shirley Thompson Sayre and daughter Catherine Sayre
Herman is survived by a son, Herman A. Sayre III; three daughters, Cheryl Smith, Carol Fairchild, and Cindy (William Jr.) Godfrey; brother, Lawrence (Maria) Sayre; nine grandchildren, Zoë Starceski, H. Avery Sayre, Catherine Funkhouser, Heidi Smith, John Moyer, Jack Ruth, William Godfrey III, Joshua Godfrey, and Nathaniel Godfrey; ten great-grandchildren, Lane Henry, Ian Funkhouser, Brayden Smith, Micah Smith, Nolan Smith, Titus Smith, Kylie Moyer, John Moyer, Connor Godfrey, and Colson Godfrey.
As per Herman's wishes, all services were private. Private interment to follow at Beaver Cemetery.
